Survey Department

The Surveys Department is responsible for issues pertaining to the planning for the construction of new buildings and other facilities, such as the preparation of Physical Development Plans and Master Plans, building programmes etc., conducting of various surveys, such as architectural, static, electrical engineering, topographical, etc., for open spaces, buildings, infrastructure works, studies and specifications of equipment. The department also monitors, checks and validates the above surveys and studies, when these are conducted by private agencies or individuals, submits reports, questions and recommendations to the Technical Council and the Supervising Authority concerning issues relevant to its responsibilities, etc.

Construction Department
The Department is responsible for the following tasks: implementing the planning for the erection of new buildings or executing any category of work, announcing public tenders and choosing the contractors, drawing up the construction contracts, supervising the works under way, accepting the completed works and actions arousing from the implementation of the current legislation for the execution of works, submitting reports, questions and recommendations to the Technical Council and the Supervising Authority, on issues pertaining to its responsibilities, and seeing to the implementation of decisions.
