Employment of Postgraduate Students

Ministerial Decision 2/79530/0022/2008 (FEK 344/3.3.08 tB') provides for the employment of AUTh postgraduate students; students can support the work of teaching staff members in student practice, run tutorials, seminars and laboratories, invigilate in exams, and mark course work. Postgraduate students should not undertake more than 6 hours per week for student practice, running of tutorials, seminars and laboratories; they should not undertake more than 10 hours of weekly work for exam invigilation, and marking of course work. The amount of hourly pay is determined at 8 € plus employer contributions.

By a decision of the Senate, the relevant contract is drawn up by the Department of Studies. The number of postgraduate students employed in every School as well as the contract duration and the hours of weekly work for each postgraduate student are determined by the administrative bodies of the relevant School.
