Scholarships

Foreign students are eligible for scholarships granted by the State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.) for postgraduate or postdoctoral studies in Greece as well as scholarships for the Modern Greek Language and Culture programme.

The programmes for postgraduate/postdoctoral studies are announced at the end of each year and the scholarships are offered to nationals (foreigners or of Greek origin) from:

• U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Japan and Western Europe, 
• the Balkan countries, Central or Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

For the programme of Modern Greek Language and Culture applicants must be nationals of Central or Eastern Europe, of the Balkan countries, of a Democracy of the former Soviet Union or of a Greek-speaking region in a foreign country.
