The Centre for Byzantine Research
The Centre for Byzantine Research is housed at “Melissa” building.
It was founded in 1966 and its objective is to study Byzantine history, philosophy, theology, archaeology and art, Byzantine Law, and Byzantine culture in general. It also aims at supporting the specialization of university graduates and the training of specialized researchers in Byzantine studies. It is housed in a restored neoclassical building (“Melissa”) at 36 Vas. Olgas Avenue.
