The School of Law was founded in autumn 1930 under the deanship of Demosthenes Stefanidis, and after overcoming difficulties and concerns which sprang from the view held by many government officials and others that founding this school would only exacerbate the already existing problem of the surplus of lawyers in the country.
 

The School of Law has a long history of excellence and has contributed to Greek legal culture. It recruits and retains outstanding faculty members who are dedicated to teaching and research.

The School of Law aims to provide young scholars with comprehensive education in law, and with opportunities for further research in areas related to law. Its programmes, courses and curricula are designed to provide students with the skills needed to become accurate interpreters of the law, high-quality professionals and, above all, strong and committed champions of justice.
