Το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης, στο πλαίσιο της συμμετοχής του στο Jean Monnet Δίκτυο PROSPER (Project to Research Opportunities to Strengthen Prosperity and Economic Resilience in the EU), διοργανώνει διεθνές συνέδριο με τίτλο
“The EU as a Union of Solidarity”, το οποίο θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 23-24 Απριλίου 2026, στην Αίθουσα 319 της Νομικής Σχολής ΑΠΘ. Το συνέδριο τελεί υπό την αιγίδα της Νομικής Σχολής ΑΠΘ.
Το συνέδριο επικεντρώνεται σε σύγχρονες προκλήσεις της ευρωπαϊκής ολοκλήρωσης, όπως η κοινωνική πολιτική της ΕΕ, τα κοινωνικά δικαιώματα, η δημοσιονομική ολοκλήρωση και το κοινό ευρωπαϊκό σύστημα ασύλου, με τη συμμετοχή διακεκριμένων ακαδημαϊκών και ερευνητών από ελληνικά και ευρωπαϊκά πανεπιστήμια.
Η εκδήλωση διοργανώνεται με την υποστήριξη της Επιτροπής Ερευνών του ΑΠΘ.
Σημείωση: Το συνέδριο θα διεξαχθεί στην αγγλική γλώσσα, χωρίς διερμηνεία.
Η είσοδος είναι ελεύθερη για το κοινό.
Στόχος του Δικτύου PROSPER είναι η ενίσχυση της ανταλλαγής γνώσης, η προώθηση βέλτιστων πρακτικών και η αντιμετώπιση σύγχρονων προκλήσεων που αντιμετωπίζει η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση, μέσω διεπιστημονικής έρευνας και εκπαιδευτικών πρωτοβουλιών. Το δίκτυο επικεντρώνεται στη διερεύνηση και ενίσχυση της οικονομικής ανθεκτικότητας στην ΕΕ, μέσω του εντοπισμού και της προώθησης στρατηγικών που μπορούν να ενισχύσουν τη σταθερότητα και την ανάπτυξη των οικονομιών, ιδίως στο πλαίσιο προκλήσεων όπως η παγκοσμιοποίηση, η κλιματική αλλαγή και οι οικονομικές ανισότητες μεταξύ των κρατών-μελών. Το Jean Monnet Δίκτυο PROSPER έχει λάβει τριετή χρηματοδότηση (2025-2028) από το πρόγραμμα Erasmus+ της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης.

International Conference: “The EU as a Union of Solidarity”
The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, within the framework of its participation in the PROSPER Network (Project to Research Opportunities to Strengthen Prosperity and Economic Resilience in the EU), organizes the international conference
“The EU as a Union of Solidarity”, to be held on 23–24 April 2026, at Hall 319, Faculty of Law, AUTh. The conference is organized under the auspices of the Faculty of Law, AUTh.
The conference addresses key challenges of European integration, including EU social policy, social rights, fiscal integration, and the Common European Asylum System, bringing together distinguished academics and researchers from Greek and European universities.
The event is organized with the support of the Research Committee of AUTh.
Admission is free and open to the public.
The aim of the PROSPER network is to strengthen knowledge sharing, promote best practices, and address contemporary challenges facing the EU through interdisciplinary research and educational initiatives. It focuses on exploring and enhancing economic resilience within the EU, by identifying and promoting strategies that can bolster economic stability and growth, particularly in the context of challenges such as globalisation, climate change, and economic disparities among Member States. PROSPER is a three-year (2025-2028) Jean Monnet Network funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme.
