Archaeological Excavation Projects
The excavation projects carried out by the Department of Archaeology and History of Ancient and Byzantine Art and Civilization of the School of History and Archaeology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki have brought to light significant findings. They have contributed significantly to the progress of archaeological research, and have provided undergraduate and postgraduate students with extensive training in excavation methods.
The excavation projects of the University are carried out in the following sites:
- Agora, Pella
- Lechaio, Peloponnese
- Makri, Naupactus
- Psera, Crete.
